He completed all of his education, from primary to secondary, in Bendigo. Being married and a proud father to his two sons, Nekti recognises the boundless opportunities that Bendigo offers to families and is passionate about helping them find their dream homes.

His previous employment in management, particularly in the hospitality industry, has allowed him to build a wide network of connections. Outside of work, Matthew is actively involved with the Eaglehawk Football and Netball Club and enjoys AFL, golf, and tennis.
