Moss Mahony
About Moss
The principal of First Wave is Moss Mahony who commenced selling Real Estate in 1986 and who became the Group Auctioneer and branch manager for the Southcoast group of companies with its eight offices along coastal South Gippsland including Phillip Island, Wonthaggi, Inverloch, Venus Bay, Sandy Point, Leongatha and Korumburra and Mirboo North. In that time Moss auctioned the first residential block to realise more than $1,000,000 in Inverloch. Moss believes there is no difference in the skills needed in East Gippsland to those he successfully employed elsewhere.
Moss was the convener and chairman of the steering committee that delivered Heyfield (his home town) its community bank which in 2017 delivered its millionth dollar in grants back to the community. He was recognised on the floor of the Victorian parliament for his efforts in protecting first home buyers from fraudulent schemers, was chairman of the committee which sought and delivered a mobile phone tower to Heyfield under the networking the nation program, was secretary and treasurer of the local junior football club as well as a member of the local Lions Club where he organised and conducted the first Derby Day auction which is still an annual event on the local calendar.
